CLUB'S ACCOUNTS OVERVIEW

The Woldingham Village Club produces and publishes two sets of financial accounts annually in respect of the charity, the Woldingham Village Trust (formerly known as the Woldingham Village Institute), and the Club's trading company, the Woldingham Social Club Limited.  The Club's accounting or financial year is from 1 January to 31 December. The accounts for the last three years up to 2018 are provided below.

Since 2011, the Club's finances have been steadily improving in stark contrast to the precarious financial position in which it found itself prior to 2011. Much of this success is largely down to the hard work of the Club's hosts, Neil and Julie Tidmarsh, and the efforts of a dedicated Club committee not to mention significantly increased loyal membership. The work of volunteers in so many capacities also contributed to the Club's great turnaround.  Above all, members' continued and growing support has been key.

As a result, many improvements including those to residential accommodation, kitchen facilities, toilets, garden fences as well as general decor have taken place. A major refurbishment of the main lounge areas is planned to take place in the Club's centenary year of 2020.

The Woldingham Village Trust, the charity, owns the freehold land and property on which the Club is located and is the Club's landlord. These assets are vested with the Official Custodian for Charities so do not appear on the Trust's balance sheet as they are not available for sale without the Charity Commission's agreement.
